Pass the peas, please...

Every night my dad would prompt my brother and I at the family dinner table for our daily "highlights" and "lowlights," so in the same vein I'll share my bimonthly ones -- and this blog entry is for you Aunty C, so you can get the juicy scoop. Oh, and I'm sticking with the idea of peas because I once got spanked at the dinner table (and in front of guests) for stuffing peas up my nose and blowing it onto their chicken cacciatore.

Highlight: Former Roommate Moves Back in for 3 Months
So Jennie is living back with Kate, Anna, and I for 3 months being the good reservist she is. She is a tumbleweed of joy and sunshine and is even buying us a new TV so we can more discernibly view Captain Wentworth's dashing features.

Lowlight: Indeterminate Unemployment
It's mostly a waiting game, and the very nature of waiting instills a sense of restlessness and somehow a desire to go back to school. I know, a big uh oh. UH does have a decent doctoral program in Cultural Anthropology. What about law school? Well, what about law school! Ugh.

Highlight: My Little Sister, Theresa Duddy, Marrying!
Even though none of her family could attend the wedding in Madagascar, we have been blessed to have her home for brief periods during 2009. And now that sentence sounds like I'm writing my family Christmas newsletter, so I will add on here that her husband, Esperance, is a fine looking young man. Mmm, hmm!

Lowlight: Indeterminate Unemployment
I realize that I often measure my worth by productivity levels.

Highlight: Routines!
A working-out routine, a dance class routine, a writing routine, a reading routine, even a prayer routine. Having OCD enables productivity, and my new Tuesday favorite thing to do is dig through the Kailua Public Library used book bins, buy new bestsellers, peel off the red corner Border's stickers that say "Buy One, Get One Half Off," and take two seconds to relish that it was ONLY twenty-five cents.

Highlight: Anna Being Happier This Year
She left my club, and I admit, I drag my heels when my best mates get into relationships... but I see her smiling more. And that clinches it.

All for now, Aunty C, and let's see if I can get myself into a blogging routine.
